Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Packaging Designer to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and executing packaging designs for a range of products, from concept development to final production. You will work closely with our clients and internal teams to understand their brand and business objectives, and translate them into visually compelling and effective packaging designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute packaging designs for a variety of products, including but not limited to cannabis goods, THC beverages, and THC related products & tools.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand brand and product positioning, target audience, and design requirements
- Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to inform design decisions
- Create packaging concepts and present them to clients for feedback and approval
- Produce high-quality packaging designs that align with brand guidelines and meet technical requirements for production
- Work closely with production teams to ensure designs are executed accurately and efficiently
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, providing constructive feedback and helping them grow their skills
- Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail
- Stay updated on design software and techniques to continuously improve skills and processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging design, preferably in an agency setting
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of packaging design projects
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop
- Knowledge of packaging materials, printing techniques, and production processes
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Experience in mentoring and managing junior designers is a plus
