Job Description:
Independent non-profit operations company is looking for a talented Senior Communication Specialist to join their team full time!

In this role you will work closely with the Director of Corporate Communication and often communicate with a team of five, including both creative and communication staff. This is a fast-paced work environment where you will be writing ample content for corporate communication including memos, brochures, documents, posters, intranet content and more. You will also get the opportunity to project manage several initiatives to enhance company communication and assist in the implementation of marketing communication campaigns, and participating in corporate special events.

As the Senior Communication Specialist, you will:

- Work with company clients as well as team members on campaigns, and create/implement plans for both short term and long term projects
- Assist in the presentation and planning of executive events and work alongside clients as needed
- Conceptualize and create copy for internal company use " write communication documents like memos, publications, brochures, web content and more
- Conduct ample project management internally and for clients " ensuring all processes follow department standards and timelines are adequately planned
- Assist in conceptualizing engaging ways to present training videos " work with creative team to enhance messaging and provide a successful outlet
- Create presentations on PowerPoint for both internal and external use
- Assist with administrative duties like processing invoices, attending and setting up meetings, completing timesheets, etc.
- Assist with other duties as needed

Background Profile:

- Past experience in human resources and benefit education, internal communication, financial services and 401(k) communication
- Exceptional content management experience
- Excellent command of English language, great ability to write, edit and proofread corporate communication " knowledge of AP Style is a plus
- Great project management, organizational and time management skills
- Experience working with a creative team, to ensure correct communication and messaging is achieved
- Excellent command of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- BS/BA Degree and 8+ years in marketing, communication, public relations or advertising
- Preferred: Background in utilities, some experience with InDesign
