GUIDE TO CREATIVE JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Packaging Designer
You can’t judge a book by its cover, but most people buy a product based on its package – that’s where you come in.
Knowing that packaging can make or break a brand, you incorporate a product’s message and marketplace position in a packaging design that appeals to the target market, is functional for the user, and, economical for your client.
You will work closely with the marketing and design teams, as well as with product managers and even end-users, to conceptualize effective package designs that meet the consumer’s needs and add brand value.
You may work in virtually any company that offers a product or service: if it comes in a package, there’s an opportunity for you.
